Fabric Temptation – Sustainable Variety in Material, Pattern & Colour

I’ve always been fascinated and inspired by the incredible variety of fabrics in material, pattern, and colour. I love experimenting with new combinations. At the same time, I pay close attention to the origin and quality of the fabrics.

The fabrics used for our Rockmacherin skirts are mostly produced in Germany and Austria. Whenever possible, we choose organically grown materials, many of which are GOTS-certified. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is a globally recognized label that ensures environmentally friendly and socially responsible textile production.

I prefer to use natural materials because they often feel more vibrant to the touch. More and more manufacturers are responding to the demand for sustainable fabrics. I’m not yet fully consistent, as I love some jacquard patterns so much that I don’t want to give them up in the design.

I sincerely hope the development will continue quickly so I can soon choose from an even larger variety of organically grown fabrics. Ultimately, you as the customer decide by choosing consciously where to spend your money. That’s an exciting prospect!
