Caroline had set her mind on producing exclusively in Bavaria. Many people thought I was crazy. I communicated it loudly and was successful! I now offer more than just skirts and also produce in the EU.

Regional production

I initiated the association MODE MADE IN BAYERN e.V. in 2015. Highest quality produced in Bavaria – short transport routes, strengthening the regional economy, a small ecological footprint and respectful treatment of the people involved in the production process – all these framework conditions ensure very sustainable production. the preamble was – fashion sewn exclusively in Bavaria. Higher labor costs due to high-quality craftsmanship and sustainable production are the reasons for the higher price level of the skirt models.

We now offer much more than just skirts and have also opted for production facilities in neighboring EU countries. This allows us to use more and more ecological fabrics.

Slow Fashion

Instead of constantly buying new and often cheap clothes, it is best to repair, rework or recycle clothes. When buying new clothes, we should learn to value quality and take responsibility for people and the environment by changing our consumer behavior.

The movement aims to slow down fashion, improve working conditions for seamstresses, ensure transparency in the production chain and thus enable sustainable consumption. A timeless design, loving details and high quality workmanship make our clothes long-lasting classics.

The fabrics

The materials used for the skirts are mainly produced in Germany and Austria. Where possible, they are organically grown and some are even GOTS certified. GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard and is a globally valid seal that aims to ensure both environmentally friendly and socially responsible production of textiles.
